The Project Controller I performs tasks related to the collection of data required to monitor project budgets and progress within an assigned Region or Division and assists in analyzing work progress by calculating/preparing various comparison reports, charts and tables.
This role will develop an understanding of business components and implications specific to accounting for Construction Companies and will work to support the principles of Henkels & McCoy’s Project Management Methodology (PMM).
Under direct guidance, the Project Controller I contributes to the support of the Project Team by collecting and validating financial information related to cost measurement, customer billings, accounts payables, payroll entries, and fleet and equipment utilization. This role assists in researching payable transaction issues and in monitoring compliance with external customer contract terms as well as internal company policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
The Project Controller I aids in ensuring that team goals, roles, protocols, and business relationships are consistent with high-performance requirements and congruent with the company's strategy. The ideal candidate will lead by example in an environment that fosters trust and candor, will maintain personal accountability, and communicate assertively and constructively within the assigned project population.
