Overview

ROLE SUMMARY

MasTec is seeking a Finance Intern for Power Delivery – East Region Operations to join our team of creators and problem solvers. As a Finance Intern, you will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of finance from reporting and analysis to business partnering, and strategic finance. The successful candidate will analyze datasets, create visual, and communicate findings to a broad array of business partners. 

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in providing support to business units, contributing to financial analyses, and driving business performance.
  • Assist in analyzing key drivers for the business and providing support for major business decisions through analysis and problem-solving.
  • Gain exposure to the overall business model and participate in initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and optimization across various departments.
  • Coordinate with team members to gather input and assist in executing plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Develop professional relationships with team members, business leaders, and external partners.
  • Assist in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in financial recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive team culture and supporting team initiatives to achieve success.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing financial processes, systems, and tools.
  • Contribute to accurate financial reporting and communication of financial performance to stakeholders.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business related fields.
  • Basic excel skill, mastery preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to learn and grown.
